The Glenlyon HS, Scotland, is run by local residents of Glenlyon (map) with an interest in the local history of the glen.
Inverinian
The old settlement is now diminished to one house. It was built about 1880? and the buildings have a date inscribed.
It is one of the many places in Scotland named after St Ninian. (The Whithorn Trust has a full list.)
Nowadays the house at Inverinian is let as a fisherman's holday house with fishing on the River Lyon.
Nearby is St Ninian's Chair. This is a rather comfortable rock shaped like a kind of chair. An excellent spot to admire the view.
